One of my favorite places to go camping and geocaching is Letchworth State Park. I am lucky to have such a great place place near where I live in Rochester, New York. I go there several times a year. To find out more information about New York please visit Discuss New York.

Rochester Geocaching

Hello,

I am from Rochester New York and do a lot of Rochester Geocaching. According to geocaching.com, geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a gps unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache. You can find my geocaching pictures on Discuss New York.

I found 3 more geocaches today. I found my favorite cache so far too: Are you feeling lucky? It is located on the Pfrengle Property, a wild park located in Chili New York. This cache is pure evil, but I plan on changing it a bit to make it a little more evil and my first hide. While looking for part one of this multicache I found some red ants. The first part is over 100 small plastic film containers contained in an office water jug. They just fit through the opening and took about 30 seconds to check each one. The coordinated for the final were spread across two film containers. I found them in containers 32 and 87. When I found the first one I thought I got lucky since I could hear the paper in it, but that was the first of 85 heckles that I was about to find. The first one said "Do you need a snack?" but there were many others such as "Are there a lot of mosquitoes today?" and "If you meet me in real life I hope you won't hate me." or something along those lines. I includes some pictures of the jug with film canisters below. I highly recommend this cache to anyone who can make the trip to Rochester.
